Hello again from Honest Chocolates! We hope you are enjoying the return of fall!
SHIPPING AGAIN!
With the return of cooler weather--at least in most places--we are now shipping chocolates again through our website www.honestchocolates.com.
AND WE HAVE SOME NEW PRODUCTS!

Mixed-Berry Zinfandel Firm Ganache: The ripe berry flavors of zinfandel pair well with the mix of berries used in this wine-tasting chocolate. This was my husband's suggestion and has become a favorite in the store.
Chocolate Chili Ganache: Very mild chili flavor in a rich dark chocolate ganache. The heat turns up just a little as you finish it.
Grand Ronde Firm Ganache: a treat for the milk chocolate lover, with a plain milk chocolate ganache center dipped in a crunchy milk chocolate shell. This started as an in-store special but due to demand we have made it a regular product.
White Chocolate Wintergreen Bark: Our good-quality white chocolate with a refreshing bite of wintergreen.
White Chocolate Peppermint Bark: Not new, but it was unavailable for several months. Since so many people requested it, I wanted to let you know that it\'s available again.
Assorted Dark Chocolates and Assorted Milk Chocolates: Now available on our website, by customer request. Includes creams, toffee, brickle bark. (The assortments don't include the more perishable chocolates like ganaches and rocky road. Remember that you can request a custom assortment through the Contact Us page.)
Our website has a feature that lets you write reviews of the products available for sale. It would really really help us if some of you could add reviews to your favorite products. (Plus we get tired of reading our own words all the time!)
You do have to be logged into the site to write a product review. If you would prefer not to register, we can send you a guest login. In either case, PLEASE replace the "Your Name" information with a name of your choosing.

SEVEN OF HEARTS WINE
Many, many customers have asked about my husband's wine. Well, finally, we have news. The wine will be called "Seven of Hearts", the first release will be this spring, and it will be a 2006 Pinot noir vineyard designate from the Dundee Hills appellation. You can see a draft of the label here:

NEWBERG STORE OPENING
If you happen to be in the area, please join us as we celebrate the opening of our Newberg store! Friday, November 2, 5-8 PM at 312 E. First Street (99W). We'll feature oil paintings by Carmen Borrasé, an internationally acclaimed artist originally from Costa Rica. Dana Libonati, the popular local jazz pianist, will provide the live music. Tyrus Evan will pour their 2004 Ciel du Cheval Claret for the event. (There will be a $2 charge for the wine-tasting.) And of course we will offer sample chocolates, including a firm ganache custom-made to go with the claret. This will take place during Newberg's First Friday ArtWalk... all the more reason to come!

We slow-cook our butter toffee until it's golden and creamy, stir in almonds and walnuts, then top with dark chocolate and a light sprinkling of chopped toasted walnuts. 8 oz. bag.

A firm ganache is like a truffle, but denser (more chocolate, less cream). This one is made with milk chocolate, coffee, and chopped toasted hazelnuts from a local farm. 8 oz. bag.
